New 24-port hub with 800W power for injectors supporting 802.3bt Power over Ethernet++

The recently released UPOE-2400G switch model is a high-density, managed, and fast PoE++ connection system designed for global upgrading of existing systems to the IEEE 802.3bt level. The switch allows for network improvement without replacing previous devices. TLS version 1.2 and TLS version 1.3 protocols have expanded the switch's functional capabilities, increasing protection against cyberattacks, while additional Planet services such as NMS, Cloud Viewer, DDNS, and DDNS Easy provide users with a wide range of tools.

Full Control of a Powerful PoE++ Power Hub

The Planet UPOE-2400G switch is rack-mounted in a server room. The installed 24 ports provide maximum density for connecting devices with a total power of up to 800W. A remote interface service is provided to monitor the connections in the system. Each port can provide bandwidths of 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps using Base-T technology and the 802.3bt type-4 Power over Ethernet Plus standard. Up to 95W is allocated to a separate line using special UTP Cat.5, 5e, and 6 cables, making it possible to connect to the power grid and transmit data.

These features make the switch an ideal solution for small and medium-sized enterprises. This model provides users with centralized power grid connections, easy installation, and remote control over devices connected to the network, and with additional applications, the connection becomes high-speed, secure, and efficient.

802.3bt standard for Power over Ethernet is 95W power over dedicated UTP cable

Since the switch provides connection according to the IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ standard, it allows for devices consuming up to 95W of power to be connected by using all four pairs of Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. This solution allows for the full potential of devices connected via PoE port to be realized.

The port's power exceeds the standard connection using the 802.3at PoE+ technology, making this switch an ideal solution for networks with high power supply demands, such as:
  • Advertising banners
  • Remote surveillance cameras
  • Touchscreen computers, cash registers, and information displays
  • Lighting.

The 802.3bt PoE++ technology provides full power control on individual PoE ports

To fully meet the needs of efficiently connecting devices with different power requirements, this switch model has different Power over Ethernet modes for multiple devices. This includes PoE++ with 802.3bt technology, as well as 4-pair forced and legacy modes of operation, which can quickly solve the problem of incompatible connections between different devices and 4-pair connection for field installation.

The 802.bt Power over Ethernet++ standard provides 95W of power. The 802.3at Power over Ethernet+ provides 36W of power, and a mid-span 802.3at with Power over Ethernet also provides 36W of power per port.

The UPOE-2400G switch serves as a connecting node between regular PoE technology switches. There are a total of 48 copper RJ45 STP ports in the device. The 24 lower ports are used as an input data system, and the 24 upper ports are used as a Power over Ethernet system. Regardless of the type of connection, all data and power are transmitted through one UTP cable type, which does not affect the speed and performance of existing connections.

Thanks to simultaneous network and power connection via the UPOE-2400G switch, clients can eliminate extra wires and not worry about installing and placing power plugs for each device.

Control of connections and built-in Power over Ethernet system features

Since the switch model has PoE++ connection management functions, it is the ideal solution for controlling wireless systems, VoIP networks, and video surveillance systems. To be as efficient as possible in these areas, the following features have been installed on the switch:
  • PoE connection checking
  • Scheduled network disconnection and connection
  • PoE device connection control
  • PoE monitoring schedule.

Network performance monitoring thanks to intelligent power device

The UPOE-2400G switch is capable of real-time monitoring of devices connected via PoE using echo requests. As soon as the switch detects that a connected device has stopped consuming electricity, it immediately shows where and when this happened, and tries to resume power supply to the device as soon as possible. This solution provides the network with additional fault tolerance, and the system administrator can focus on solving more important tasks.

The PoE connection schedule helps reduce carbon footprint

An increasing number of people around the world are concerned about the environment and are therefore trying to reduce their energy consumption, which is undoubtedly a significant contribution to this issue. The UPOE-2400G switch can not only provide huge power but also effectively control costs. Thanks to the pre-installed "PoE Schedule" function, customers can control the connection of devices at certain times. This way, medium and small businesses save not only money but also make an invaluable contribution to protecting the environment.

Planned power system restarts

The UPOE-2400G switch has a planned reboot function that reduces the risk of data buffer overload for connected devices.

Power over Ethernet usage control

With a visual representation of the energy consumption of connected devices, the administrator can monitor the network status, making management even more efficient.

Enhanced power capabilities for Power over Ethernet connection

The 95W power connection per port allows for connections up to 100 meters away when using a PoE Extender installed remotely from the switch. Sequential connection of the 802.3bt PoE ++ extender has long given customers the ability to double or even triple the distance for PoE device connections.

Modern design and quiet cooling system

This switch model was designed with low-noise cooling and ventilation systems. The intelligent fan control system will automatically change the fan speed, significantly reducing noise and maintaining optimal device temperature. The system can be set for low-speed or high-speed rotation with intelligent control support through a remote interface. Thanks to this, the switch can operate in a variety of conditions with consistent performance results.

High standards of protection against cyber attacks

Thanks to the built-in cyber attack protection feature, customers can forget about the difficulties of setting up and installing management systems. This model supports TLSv1.2 and TLSv1.3 protocols that ensure reliable protection against hacker attacks and malware. The administrator does not need to make additional efforts to organize a corporate network with an increased level of security.

Remote control via web interface

To make it convenient for the administrator to control the network and PoE devices in the switch, a web interface is pre-installed. Through it, the working state of individual ports is automatically determined, and messages about malfunctions, etc. are displayed. Thanks to these features, people can control the network even from home.

The best solution for the remote network control technology market

The universal network control system PLANET (UNI-NMS) and the CloudViewer application will help IT personnel remotely access all network devices with monitoring of the working state of PD. Thus, they are designed for both companies and factories, where the deployment of PD should be as remote as possible, without the need for actual human presence. The interface should also provide the ability to detect errors or faulty states. With the help of the UNI-NMS or CloudViewer application, you can quickly and efficiently manage all types of business from a single platform.
